I volunteered at the gear check-in and sold a bunch of gear at the Snowbird Ski Swap this past weekend. It was great to clear out some of my old gear and support the ski team. I priced everything to sell quickly and since most of the gear at the ski swap was dealer inventory, I assume it all sold on the first day. There was very little telemark gear (only 5 sets of tele skis) at the swap and the telemark gear that was there was not priced to move. Bummer!
My daughter is on the Snowbrid Ski Team so I'm on the hook to put in a bunch of volunteer hours each year. I'm a big fan of the Snowbird Ski Team - it's well organized, has great coaches, enjoys generous support from the resort, and most importantly my daughter loves it.
It was snowing on Sunday afternoon and Monday morning there were 8 inches at the base. Lets hope this is a positive sign for things to come!
